Hey, I am Will
I am a software developer with experience in electronic design automation (EDA). In my down time, I am into a bit of running, a bit of coding, a bit of touch typing, and a bit of speed cubing.
- I mainly run half-marathons (21.1 km), and my personal best is 1:53:30. I also train my core and legs regularly as part of my running routine, which helped me get under two hours after just three months of training.
- I enjoy solving algorithmic problems. These days, I’m working through
Project Euler one boulder at a time, no skipping ahead. I’m currently on #150. I write all my solutions in Rust and maintain reusable libraries for number theory, linear algebra, and big integers. I also make sure each solution finishes in a reasonable amount of time, and I document the topics involved and my approach. Check out the code
here.
- I type in English at around 110 words per minute with over 99% accuracy using Colemak-DH (
TypeRacer stats). My main keyboard is a 5-column, low-profile Corne running ZMK. I’m also a fan of the HHKB and Planck.
- I’ve been speedcubing since elementary school. I mostly solve the 3×3, but I also enjoy Megaminx. My recent average over 100 solves is 12.52 seconds using a MoYu GTS3. I haven’t competed in a WCA competition yet.
